Some of the world's most renowned music producers, engineers and other recording professionals will converge for the 15th Annual TEC L.A. Open, to be held Monday, May 17, at the Malibu Country Club. Returning as Honorary Chairman is famed recording engineer Al Schmitt, a member of the TEC Awards© Hall of Fame and recipient of 21 Grammys®, as well as the Recording Academy's Lifetime Achievement Award. Presented by the TEC Foundation for Excellence in Audio, the popular charity event will be sponsored for the third consecutive year by Guitar Center Professional (GCPro). Proceeds of the tournament support the House Ear Institute's hearing health outreach services for audio professionals and the TEC Foundation's TECnology Hall of Fame, recognizing the most historically significant audio innovations and inventors, held annually at the AES Convention.
